- The Ultraflote® Peripheral Roof Vent:
Aerodynamically designed, removable rainproof hoods installed on tank
roof near the edge for improved air circulation. Exceeds API Requirements.
One vent with area of 2 square feet is installed for every 10' of tank
diameter or fraction thereof with a minimum of four (4) per tank. Equipped
with bird screening. Designed to maximize air circulation. Can be easily
used as an inspection hatch.
- Center Vent: Installed on tank
roof to encourage natural convection flow of air through the tank. 85
square inches of area exceeds API requirements. Neck can also act as
painters pin or scaffold hanger pin. Equipped with bird screening.
- Overflow Vent: Standard 6" x 48"
(5000 BPH running full) with bird screen and rain hood. Installed in
a tank shell to provide air circulation and limit height of liquid in
tank. When used, replaces one peripheral roof vent. This or some form
of high level control strongly recommended.
- Manway: 36" square steel manway
with loose, hinged, lockable lid installed in the external fixed roof
for easy access to roof. Also available with a thief hatch on the lid.
- Floating Suctions: A wide variety
of floating suction systems are available for special applications,
including: Swivel Joint Designs, Multiple Swivel Joint Designs, Flexible
Hose Designs and Skimmers.
- Ground Cable Assembly: 1/8" diameter
stainless steel cables electrically connecting cover to fixed roof to
prevent accumulation of static charges. Number installed varies with
tank diameter. Minimum of two (2) per tank. High strength and corrosion
resistance to insure long life.
- Anti-Rotation Assembly: 1/4" diameter
stainless steel cable passing through sealed fitting in rimplate. Attached
vertically from tank bottom to act as a guide to prevent cover rotation.
Flexibility of cable allows roof to negotiate buckles in shell near
the cable.
- Seals: Ultraflote has over thirty
(30) seal designs for any specific service requirement including single,
double, triple, and quadruple wiper seals, foam log seals, and metal
shoe seals. In addition, many different materials are available for
compatibility with most petroleum and chemical applications.
