Ultradome

The Ultradome is a fully triangulated spherical, spaceframe structure. Its inherent

design benefits such as its clear-span and self-supporting features make it ideal for Water and Wastewater applications such as the following:

• Wastewater tanks such as clarifiers to contain odors.
• Potable water tanks to prevent the contamination of the water from rust as is common with steel roofs.
• Trickling Filters to improve efficiency during severe weather.
• Sludge tanks to capture gases.

When covering treatment plant equipment for weather protection, odor control, appearance or protection against contaminants, there are several advantages to choosing an aluminum geodesic dome. The all-aluminum construction provides a structure that is light-weight, strong and durable. The geodesic design combines the advantages of a clear-span covering with the architectural attractiveness of modern geodesics.

The ULTRADOME combines the self-supporting space truss geodesic design with high strength aluminum alloys to produce a strong, yet light-weight structure that is entirely supported at a peripheral tension ring. No center supports or massive foundations are required. This clear-span design accommodates a variety of equipment that would otherwise be restricted by columns.

The ULTRADOME is a maintenance-free structure. Aluminum's built-in resistance to weathering and corrosion eliminates the periodic maintenance expenses of recoating and replacement experienced with alternate roof designs.

Several options are available with the ULTRADOME, including skylights, dormers, access doors and hatches, hinged periphery access panels, ducting, venting systems, lightning protection, handrails, guardrails, platforms, stairs, and other custom designed features fabricated to customer requirements.

Geotruss

The company has developed an all aluminum rectangular basin cover, the Ultraflote Geotruss, that utilizes much of the same proven technology of the aluminum geodesic dome, the Ultradome. The all aluminum construction is virtually maintenance-free, weather-resistant and compatible with the typical by-products of water and wastewater tanks. The Ultraflote Geotruss is a clear span, self-supporting structure that applies only vertical loads into the tank sidewalls. Its lightweight construction also minimizes tank wall loadings.

The Geotruss protects the microbes and the tank interior equipment from the harsh weather and also contains odors which would otherwise escape to the atmosphere.

The Geotruss can be custom designed with many of the company's special accessories such as dormers, skylights, walkways, vents, ductwork, walls, etc.

Quad Seal™ Flat Cover

The Ultraflote Quad Seal Flat Cover is ideal for your odor control applications. Constructed of custom extrusions welded around the perimeter of heavyweight flat aluminum plates (either diamond tread plate or mill finish) forming a strong yet lightweight, corrosion resistant structure. The extrusions are designed to form a unique interlocking seam between the panels and between the panels and their supports. Panels can be designed to cover large spans of up to 38 ft and may be truss supported for even larger applications.

Our novel "A" frame aluminum support trusses are intrinsically stable and can be designed for virtually any span/loading combination without subjecting the existing equipment to unplanned loadings.

The Quad-Seal Batten seam design provides a completely air tight seal for odor control. This design allows for addition of optional hidden latches that lock the panels tightly together yet are quickly and easily released for access under the panels. Lifting handles are also built in along the ends of every panel.
